As per the CEC, Battery Energy Storage systems need to be installed to comply with the current versions of AS/NZS 5139:2019
For example, Battery Systems Cannot be installed:
>Within 600mm of any vertical side of a window, or any building ventilation or opening into a habitable room
>Within 600mm of any appliance
>Under Stairways
>Within 600mm of any exit
>In an evacuation route
We recommend you install the battery in your shed with your inverter - This will require a safety bollard to be installed to ensure no cars can hit the battery.
